Keep Your Best Friend Happy With These Smartphone Pet Dog Apps

Owning a dog can be an incredibly rewarding experience and it has never been as popular as it is right now. But the effort required when looking after your furry friend cannot be taken lightly. As well as walking, feeding and just playing with your buddy, you also need to look after those doggy health issues. And then there are the vet’s fees, they can be astronomical, and you really need to take these into consideration when you tot up your budget. So how about getting some low-cost help that can actually make your puppy a happy chappy? We’ve found a bunch of Smartphone Apps that have been specifically developed for people like us, people who love our dogs!

Dog First Aid By PetMD – $0.99

This App will run on your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and it will require iOS 3.1 or later for smooth running. Out four legged friends are known for their mischievous nature and that usually gets them into a bit of trouble, putting it mildly. So what do you do when they’ve chomped a whole box of sweets, or maybe your TV remote has been chewed beyond recognition? And then there is the possibility of your pooch getting some kind of virus that puts them out of sorts. Well, you should take them to the nearest vet, but we can’t always do this immediately. Dog First offers a one stop solution that can help you deal with these kinds of dilemmas, and it is pretty slick. Use the onboard search facility and see if you can save some big bucks before calling the doggy doctor out. You’ll also get a list of the nearest veterinarian, so all bases are covered! We would always suggest that you consult your animal expert before trying anything too radical, but this application certainly has some helpful tips onboard.

Many of us simply don’t know the answer to that question and usually pack the mutt in the car and drive out to the country for some exercise. But this App could change all of that for the better, just take a closer look. There are over 6,000 fantastic dog walking parks to choose from and each of them has received a rather helpful rating. You also get the bonus of 12,000 dog friendly restaurants, and these places really are worth a visit. It has a bunch of canine retreats that that will open up a new world of fun for you and your best friend – Brilliant!
