Even with the madness that surrounds Black Friday, the time honored tradition of this big shopping event is one we Americans look forward to all year. When else can you buy a 42 inch TV for less than $300 or a fully loaded brand name laptop for less than $200. Deals like this send the everyday consumer into a shopping frenzy.

However the deal hunting begins way before Thursday, November 25th and starts online via various websites, blogs and now with the advent of mobile devices – mobile apps. Below we discuss several good options to look at and possibly download to your device of choice.

1. Fat Wallet –

We love Fat Wallet, because it has a forum as opposed to a static website and therefore it has interaction from members and visitors. Also it has a cash back section where when you buy using their links, you get a percentage of cash back on your purchases. With the app, you can do all of the above and more all while out and about during the big day or during the weeks leading up to the big day. This is a must have app for Black Friday.

2. BF Ads –

This is the official app from the BFads.net website which is one of the most popular destinations for scouring black Friday discounts and deals. But unfortunately (in a glaring omission) the app is not cross compatible as far as we know with other mobile platforms, it is only available for the iPhone. This is the only pet peeve we have about this app. If you have Android, BB or windows – sadly, you’re out of luck.

3. Better Christmas List –

This app is great especially if you have a large family and need to buy gifts for lots of family and friends. The Better Christmas List app allows you to enter in the name of all those who you’re going to buy gifts for and keep tabs on where you are on the shopping scale. Since it can be easy to forget someone if you have too many and or have lots of gifts to purchase, this app can literally be a lifesaver during the Holidays. As you’re done with each name, cross them off the list.

4. Deal News BFA App –

This Black Friday app which is available on iTunes, showcases a variety of hot deals from the Deal News website. You can save, bookmark and share each deal via social media including Twitter or Facebook. Plus you can also buy directly from the app via a corresponding deal. We are big fans of the Deal News website and Black Friday is an extra special treat as loads of good deals abound throughout. Download this app for the biggest discounts this season.
